About

My Story

As long as I can remember, I have loved creating things. There are so many beautiful materials available to work with – it is often difficult to know where to start – or what to stick with!

I have been teaching since 2007 and, as a certified tutor with the Indian Block Printing Company, I am currently offering Indian Block Printing as well as fabric and paper craft Workshops in Halifax and Lincolnshire – for both adults and children.

I love working with wonderful fabrics, wools, felts and cottons in particular.

I have two Brother embroidery machines and a fabulous little Juki, whose one job is to sew through thick fabrics, such as denim.

Indian Block Printing (full day)

“What a fabulous way to spend a Saturday with a great bunch of ladies and a knowledgeable, engaging and talented tutor. Helen talked us through the basics before we started printing- tentatively at first then gaining more confidence to create an incredible array of items. There was a huge variety of blocks for us to use and lots of products for us to print on – tote bags, pencil cases, books and cards to name a few. This was a great value course and I can’t wait for the next one!”
